🌿 Where it all began…
Lake View Nursery was founded in 2013 by Laura Yarwood, whose passion for early years education began while travelling through Australia. It was there that she first dreamt of creating a nurturing, inspiring environment where young children could grow, play, and explore the world around them with curiosity and confidence.
That vision came to life with the opening of Lake View Nursery, a purpose-built, oak-framed setting nestled in the peaceful surroundings of Thorn Business Park. Designed with children at its heart, the nursery features spacious, carefully planned classrooms and over 1,000 square metres of outdoor space—all intended to encourage discovery, creativity, and connection to nature.
Over the past 12 years, Lake View has continued to grow and evolve. We’ve expanded to include a larger preschool room, and have reinvested heavily into our outdoor learning environment, ensuring it remains a rich, stimulating space where children can thrive.
Lake View has always been more than just a nursery—it’s a community. A place where children, families, and staff come together in a shared journey of care, learning, and support. We’re incredibly proud of the positive, welcoming environment we’ve built, and it’s truly rewarding to see the lasting impact we have on the lives of our young learners and their families.
